Dzud's 5 tracks represent Lies & Cigars' modern approach to multiple styles. Driving hard rock, jazz, funk, punk, progressive composition, and classic soul and rock n roll combine, but not for combination's sake. The members contribute their varied musical interests into a synthesized whole that relies on hooks, melody, and tight songwriting despite backgrounds in more exploratory projects. The band's repertoire is much larger, but these 5 songs serve as a starting point for the band's sensibilities.
